Subjects Taught
Special Education

I have a BSE in Early Childhood Education and Elementary Education from Arkansas State University. I have a MSE in Special Education with an emphasis in Learning Disabilities, Mild Mental Disabilities and Emotional Disturbances from Old Dominion University.

This is my 29th year of teaching. I have taught Kindergarten and first grade at Hope Sullivan. I am super excited about returning to the Special Education classroom. I have taught in both Special Education and Elementary Education in Arkansas and Virginia.

I grew up in Olive Branch and attended school there from first to twelfth  grade. I moved away for a few years, but returned to Southaven in 2003. My daughter attends Southaven High School and I feel that she is getting the best education possible. We also have a wonderful library, great parks, fun city wide events such as 4th of July Fireworks and Breakfast with Santa along with great recreational opportunities such as soccer (Yep, I was a soccer mom but now I am a band mom) Other than the heat, I feel that you just can't beat living in Southaven.

I hope that this is a great year for everyone in my class and the parents as well.
