Subjects Taught
2nd Grade

I graduated  with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary Education

from Harding University in Searcy, Arkansas.

This is my sixth year to teach public school.  I have experience in both first and second grades.  I spent four years teaching preschool as well.  Additionally, I spent eight years homeschooling my three children.  I feel very lucky to have experienced teaching on many levels and in many ways!

In February 2018, I was awarded the Teacher of the Year award for Hope Sullivan Elementary School as well as the Teacher of the Year award for Desoto County Schools.  I am grateful for these honors and committed to continued growth as an educator.

I grew up in Belleville, Illinois, just across the Mississippi from St. Louis.  I am the wife of a wonderful husband and the mother of three beautiful children.  I spent one year (2012-13) in Togo, West Africa--an experience that has deepened my appreciation for different people, places, cultures and languages.  I love reading, swimming, singing & music, and writing.  I truly enjoy teaching and hope that I can help children to have futures full of hope!
