Subjects Taught
1st Grade

I graduated from Christian Brothers University with my bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education and minors in history and sociology.

This is my first year teaching and I am so excited to be starting it here at Hope Sullivan with your student!

Although this is my first year teaching  I have had a lot of "practice" time. During my time at CBU I not only did my student teaching and various field experience opportunities, but  I also interned with St. Jude in their Education Outreach Program for about 2 years. I developed  and ran afterschool STEM clubs across Shelby County. I  did about 8 schools each  year and worked with many different student populations.

(Yo hablo Español!)

I am originally from Mexico but have lived here in the states since I was 3. I have lived in the Southaven area most of my life but most recently I moved to Olive Branch with my husband and two dogs. My life outside of being a teacher includes hiking, renovating our home, going to the movies and shopping for my students and classroom! Family is also a huge part of my life so I also devote a lot of my time to family.

I believe in meeting all of my students' individual learning needs. It is my goal to help them grow in to successful life long learners. Along with meeting my students' educational needs, I also believe in having respect and open lines of communication with them and also with you, the parents. Together we can make this a great year and I look forward to seeing all that we accomplish.
