About the Teacher/Welcome Msg
I would like to welcome you to the 2019-2020 school year at Hope Sullivan Elementary School. My name is Olivia Dunnam, and I will be your child’s teacher this year. I am really looking forward to getting to know all my students, but first, I’d like you to know a few things about me!
I was born and raised in New Albany, MS where I was actively involved in my schools, church, and community. I graduated with a degree in Elementary Education from Blue Mountain College. I am currently working towards a masters degree in Dyslexia Therapy through Mississippi College.
You will realize very quickly that I want you to be involved in your child’s education as much as possible. I believe that when we work together, your child’s possibilities for growth are endless! I will keep you in the loop on what’s going on in our class. Along with emails, I will send newsletters and keep you updated through Remind. You will not have to worry about wondering what’s going on!
Lastly, I hope to make your child's learning experience fun, meaningful, and exciting, and I am so excited about the chance to learn from my students, as well. I firmly believe that a teacher has the opportunity to enrich a child’s life by believing in them and helping them believe in themselves! The opportunity to work with children is a blessing to me, so let’s get this school year started!
