Please email distancelearning@dcsms.org if you have any questions about how distance learning will take place at our school and in your home.
Breakfast will take place in the classrooms instead of in the cafeteria.
Lunches will take place in the classrooms on Monday and Wednesday, and in the classrooms on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
We have sanitation staff cleaning high traffic areas and playground equipment throughout the schoolday.
Please email covid19@dcsms.org if you have any questions about the procedures we are using to ensure the safety of our schools and students in the midst of covid 19.

About The Teacher
Education and Experience:
I graduated from Mississippi State University this summer! For the past two summers, I've helped spread the love for learning at Memphis Teacher Residency Camp as a Reading Coach. I'm so excited to spend my first year teaching full-time with your children!
Certification(s):
I have my undergraduate degree in Elementary Education and I am a Mississippi Excellence in Teaching Scholar.
Personal Info:
I am married to a rocket scientist who loves learning new things. We hope to one day be parents to a pet Husky!
When I'm not in the classroom, I love cooking spicy foods with my husband and thinking of ways to make learning more fun for my students!
Class Rules:
We are the First Grade Razzle-Dazzles! We work together to shine bright! There are many ways for us to razzle and dazzle this year. When we razzle, we make compromises and treat others with respect! When we dazzle, we showcase our talents and do our best!
Razzle Machine The Razzle Machine is our class-wide reward system. Whenever the class shows teamwork and kindness while working together, the whole class will gain a "razzle" on ClassDojo. When there are 15 razzles, the class will get to turn the Razzle Machine to dispense candy! | Dazzling Charts Every student will have their own dazzling chart. Everyday, a student will receive a letter on their daily conduct. When a student shows dazzling behavior and receives an "E" for the day, the student may pick out and add a dazzling star to add to their chart. When their chart is full, they may exchange the chart for a new one and pick out a prize from the Treasure Box! |
Parents, please enroll your children into our ClassDojo by clicking on the link below!
This is how I will send out reminders, messages, and updates on school events and your child's progress in my classroom!
